Athens Syntagma Square Christmas 2013.

Syntagma this Christmas is decorated differently.

The  Christmas tree is a custom of the germanic people with roots in paganism. It was brought in Greece by germans during the reign of the bavarian king Otto (1832-1862). This year’s Christmas no more intervention from Germans...

The little sailing ship is a greek Christmas costume, especially in greek islands. The municipality of Athens have made good choice this year. Something indeed rare! Near the fountain and the little sailing ship there is a stage for various Christmas music events.

Many photos of the Christmas decorated  Syntagma square in Athens during dusk.

The fountain was renovated and color lighted just a few days before the official start of Christmas period.

The parliament is not decorated at all. Why not? Watch the moon above.
